What is the feature of CNC machine tools? Nowadays, CNC machine tools have been used more and more in modern manufacturing, and take advantage that the ordinary ones can’t match.

1. Transmission chain is short. Comparing to the ordinary machine tools, the spindle drive is no longer the motor-pulley-gear pair mechanism shifting. Instead, the horizontal and vertical feeds are respectively driven by two servo motors. The traditional parts such as hanging gear, clutch, etc. are no longer used, which could greatly shorten the transmission chain.

1. High degree of automation can reduce the operator’s physical labor intensity. The CNC machining process is automatically completed according to the input program. The operator only needs to align the tool, load and unload tool and change tool. During the machining process, the operator should mainly observe and supervise the machine. However, due to the high technology of CNC machine tools, the operator’s mental work should correspondingly improve.

2.The parts processed by CNC are of high precision and stable quality. The positioning accuracy and repeat positioning accuracy of CNC machine tools are very high, and it is easier to ensure the consistency of same batch parts. As long as the process design and procedures are correct and reasonable, along with careful operation, the parts can be guaranteed to achieve higher machining accuracy. It is also easy to implement quality control of the process.

3.High productivity. CNC machine tool processing can process multiple machining surfaces once, generally only the first part should be inspected, so it can save a lot of intermediate processes, such as scribing and size inspection, and reduce the auxiliary time. Due to the stable quality of the parts machined by CNC, it brings convenience to the subsequent process, and its comprehensive efficiency is obviously improved.

4.Facilitate the development and modification of new products. CNC machining generally does not require a lot of complicated process equipment. By programming the machining program, parts with complex shapes and high precision requirements can be processed. When the product is modified and the design is changed, just change the program without redesigning the tooling. Therefore, CNC machining can greatly shorten the product development cycle, providing a shortcut for the research and development of new products, product improvement and modification.

5. CNC can be developed to more advanced manufacturing systems. CNC machine tools and their processing technology are the basis of computer-aided manufacturing
